Información detallada

The semitendinosus is one of the three hamstring muscles. It originates from the ischial tuberosity and inserts into the medial surface of the tibia. It flexes the knee and extends the hip, and also internally rotates the leg when the knee is flexed. It works with the semimembranosus to stabilize the knee.
