Múscul Sòlear

Informació detallada

The soleus is a deep calf muscle located beneath the gastrocnemius. It originates from the tibia and fibula and inserts into the calcaneus via the Achilles tendon. It plantarflexes the ankle and is particularly important for maintaining posture and walking. Unlike the gastrocnemius, it does not cross the knee joint, so it is active regardless of knee position.
