Light Beer — photo 1

Light beer is a pale lager brewed to have fewer calories and less carbohydrate than regular beer, and it usually has a little less alcohol. A 330 ml bottle has about 96 kcal, around 10 g of alcohol and 5.5 g of carbohydrate, and little else apart from some niacin. Compared with regular beer it saves about a third of the calories; being brewed from barley, it contains gluten.
