Exceptional nutritional value
Whole chicken eggs without the shell, values for raw egg.
Eggs are eaten boiled, fried, poached or scrambled and are a basic ingredient in baking. Two large eggs (about 100 g without the shell) give about 12.5 g of complete protein and are high in selenium, vitamin B12 and riboflavin, with useful amounts of vitamin A, vitamin D and folate, mostly in the yolk. Boiling or poaching adds nothing, while frying adds the fat used in the pan.
