Limited nutritional benefit
Pork bacon slices, values for pan-fried (cooked) bacon.
Bacon is cured pork, usually belly and often smoked, pan-fried until crisp for breakfast, sandwiches and salads. Two to three cooked slices (about 25 g) give roughly 120 kcal, 8.5 g of protein, 9 g of fat and 420 mg of sodium, so it is high in both fat and salt. The values are for cooked slices: frying removes fat and water, and raw bacon loses nearly two-thirds of its weight in the pan.
