Skim Milk — photo 1

Skim milk is cow's milk with almost all of the cream removed, drunk plain or added to coffee, tea and cereal. A 250 ml glass has about 90 kcal and 9 g of protein with almost no fat, and gives about 315 mg of calcium; it is high in vitamin B12 and riboflavin, with useful phosphorus. These values are for milk without added vitamins: removing the fat also removes the natural vitamin A and D, which many countries add back.
