Parsley — photo 1

Parsley is a leafy herb, curly or flat-leaf, used fresh as a garnish, chopped into salads such as tabbouleh, and added to soups, sauces and marinades. A 10 g portion, about a small handful chopped, has about 4 kcal and about 160 µg of vitamin K, more than the full daily value, plus about 13 mg of vitamin C and 42 µg of vitamin A. Flat-leaf parsley has a stronger flavor than curly parsley and holds up better in cooking.
