Pink Salmon — photo 1

Pink salmon (gorbusha) is the most common wild Pacific salmon, sold fresh, frozen and canned and cooked like other salmon. A 150 g raw portion gives about 190 kcal and 31 g of protein with under 7 g of fat, including about 0.8 g of the omega-3 fats EPA and DHA, and is very high in vitamin B12, vitamin D, niacin and selenium. It is leaner than farmed Atlantic salmon, so it dries out quickly when overcooked.
