Chicken Thigh

Good nutritional profile

Skinless, boneless chicken thigh (dark meat), values for raw meat.

Chicken Thigh — photo 1

Chicken thigh is dark meat, slightly fattier than breast, used in roasts, curries, stews and on the grill. A 150 g raw portion without skin gives about 30 g of protein and 6 g of fat, and is high in niacin, vitamin B6, vitamin B12, selenium and zinc. The skin, not included here, more than triples the fat, and the meat loses roughly a quarter of its weight when cooked.
