Melon — photo 1

Honeydew is a smooth-skinned melon with pale green, sweet flesh, eaten fresh on its own, in fruit salads or with cured ham. It is about 90% water: a 150 g portion has about 54 kcal and 12 g of sugar, with 27 mg of vitamin C (about 30% of the daily value) and 340 mg of potassium. Cantaloupe, the orange-fleshed melon, has a similar calorie count but far more vitamin A.
