Moderate nutritional value
Wheat noodles made with egg, values for unenriched noodles boiled without salt.
Egg noodles are made from wheat flour and egg and are served in soups, with stroganoff and goulash, or buttered as a side. A 160 g cooked portion has about 220 kcal and 7 g of protein and supplies about 70% of the daily value of selenium, an amount that depends on the soil the wheat grew in. Many US egg noodles are enriched with iron and B vitamins; these values are for unenriched noodles. About 60 g dry cooks to 170 g.
