Cider — photo 1

Hard cider is fermented apple juice, sold sparkling in bottles and cans and drunk chilled. A 330 ml bottle has about 185 kcal, roughly 15 g of alcohol and 20 g of sugar, with a little potassium and almost no other vitamins or minerals. Dry ciders have much less sugar and fewer calories, while sweet and flavored ciders can have more; cider is naturally gluten-free.
