The pectoralis minor is a thin, triangular muscle located deep to the pectoralis major. It originates from the third, fourth, and fifth ribs and inserts into the coracoid process of the scapula. Its main function is to stabilize the scapula and assist in shoulder movements. It also helps in forced inspiration by elevating the ribs.
